Names to look for
Vega Sicilia — the one that started the conversation
If a 1 Hotel list carries one Spanish name, it's often this one. Vega Sicilia is Ribera del Duero's most storied house — Único for the occasion, Valbuena 5° for the table, Alión for the glass in Austin. Order any of the three and you're drinking the region at its most complete.
Alongside it, family houses like Emilio Moro and Viña Sastre carry Ribera del Duero at our tables. And on the white side, one name leads the way: Naia — the Verdejo you'll see most often across the country — with Nisia, Martinsancho and Yllera close behind.
